One of my family’s all time favorites! A great dish to serve a big group on Christmas morning! Hope you enjoy 🙂
Ingredients:
1 C Brown Sugar
1/2 C Melted Butter
3 tsp ground Cinnamon
3 Tart Apples (granny smith) peal, core, thinly sliced
1/2 C dried Raisins, cranberries or raisins
1 loaf French Baguette Bread – cut in 1″ slices
6 large eggs
1 1/2 C milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract

Directions:
Combine brown sugar, butter, 1 tsp of cinnamon in a 13×9″ baking dish. Add apples and cranberries and toss to coat well. Spread apple mixture evenly over the bottom and arrange slices of bread on top. In a separate bowl mix eggs, milk and vanilla, and remaining 2 teaspoons of cinnamon until well blended. Pour mixture over bread coating it completely. Cover and refrigerate for 4-24 hours (overnight). In the morning bake in the oven with foil covering the pan @ 375 degrees for 40 minutes, uncover for 5 more minutes.
