Hi! My name is Tarra Ashton and I am a Charlotte local who has a strong passion for all things food, yoga, health and fitness! I enjoy discovering new restaurants in the growing Queen City and love trying out new recipes when I’m not busy teaching yoga or working as a Forecast and Inventory Planning Manager for Feetures Running.
I grew up in an Italian home where my love for good food began, but it was enhanced when I took a pairing Food + Wine course while studying abroad in Italy during the Summer of 2012. You can find yummy photos of the food I cook and restaurants I enjoy on Instagram @QCyogi.foodie.
My passion for yoga is no secret, and in 2015 my dream of becoming a yoga teacher became a reality. I completed 200 hour RYT training with Grace Morales in Charlotte, NC and began teaching in November 2015 at Charlotte Yoga where I still teaches today. I have completed additional trainings with Irene Pappas, Daniel Rama, Patrick Beach, Steph Gongora, Erin Kelly, Carson Clay Calhoun, Adam Whiting, Jaimis Huff & Jennifer Busco. I completed my most recent training at Casa Om in Puerto Morelos, Mexico in October 2017 and cannot wait to go back. I began teaching at Charlotte Yoga in 2015 and occasionally lead yoga classes around town at local breweries such at OMB and Lenny Boy to name a few. My classes are usually power vinyasa flows with a focus on the core and twists. Check out my teaching schedule here.
